Fredrik J. Pinakunary

Fredrik Jacob Pinakunary is the founder of this firm. He was born and grew-up in Sorong, Papua, graduated from Faculty of Law, Airlangga University and Faculty of Economics, Dr. Sutomo University, Surabaya in 1995.

He started his career at the Jakarta Legal Aid Institute (LBH), then moved on to Frans Winarta & Partners (1997), and joined Lubis, Santosa & Maulana Law Offices (“LSM”) in March 2000 until January 2008 with the last position as Partner of Litigation.

During his 10 years of practice as a Litigation Attorney, he has established an outstanding reputation as a trusted, reliable and recognized lawyer for careful preparation, attention to detail, and zealous advocacy in the interests of his clients.

Fredrik is heavily involved in a number of high profile cases and he has distinguished winning story in defending many large national and international companies/institutions in the Indonesian courts.

Besides practicing as a lawyer, Fredrik also has been invited to teach for several workshops organized by several universities and government institutions. Fredrik was also invited to be a speaker in several occasions. He has been selected out of many litigation lawyers in Jakarta and invited by the Judicial Independence Assessment and Advocacy Institute (Lembaga Kajian Advokasi untuk Independensi Peradilan) to share his experiences and opinions in connection with the establishment of the Indonesian Judges Code of Conduct.

He is also a keen writer. His works have been published in Kompas Daily and the prominent legal website in Indonesia, Hukumonline.com.
